FluoroVu is app that, combined with the FluoroVu optics module orany UV light source, allows you to view and capture Ultraviolet(UV) fluorescent images of certain objects and materials. If youdon't already have a FluoroVu Optics Module, you can get one at theEigen Imaging web site. This app uses the image processing featuresof the OpenCV library, so the free OpenCV Manager app will beinstalled when the app is first run (if you do not already haveit). What can you do with the FluoroVu? Here is a short list of themany applications: Laboratory, Research and Industrial - Manyorganic and inorganic compounds and substances exhibit UVfluorescence. Applications include coatings analysis, checkingcleanliness of work area, epoxy analysis and quality control.Education - Fluorescence Demonstration and Analysis. Use theFluoroVu as a fun and easy hands-on teaching aid. Counterfeitverification - check altered/fake documents, counterfeit currencyand other official IDs. The FluoroVu might not always be able toverify that something is real, especially if the counterfeitingmeasures are fine and complex. However it can certainly tell youthat certain key characteristics are missing and therefore a fake.Art - Paintings, carvings and various objects. Use to the FluoroVuto see hidden fixes. Mineralogy - rocks and gemstone.
